Up at 9.30a.m. A nice morning again. Ron and Jane came at 12 noon. Took Nell and I there for the day. Jane was very funny. She was in her pool.

Up at 9a.m. A nice morning. Warm and sunny. Cut dead roses from the big bed. Started with a bad back. Went to the pub at night. Saw Nick.

Up at the usual time. Not a bad day. Did all the mowing and cleaned the small rose bed out of all the dead roses. Had a chat with chap from over the road.

St Swithen

Got up at the usual time not a bad day. Dot and Little Jane came about 10.30a.m. Spent a happy day with Jane. Nothing of importance to report.

Got up at 9a.m. Cloudy at first but sunshine in the afternoon. Nell got a new carpet cleaner off Mrs Harris. Took Jane to see the animals at work. Dot took us and brought us back in the car.

Got up at 9.30a.m. A real lousy day. Rained all day, very heavy at times. Bad flooding in some places with heavy thunder at times. Not very good holiday weather.

Got up at 9a.m. A nice day for a change. Sunny. Bill Edwards came for me at 10.30. Went into Wales for the day. I had a very pleasant day. Got as far as Rhyl.

Got up at 9.30a.m. Still a cold wind and a few showers. The gang came for tea. Dot very good to play out with Jane. Too cold. Went for a drink at night.

Got up at 9.15. The wind still very cold. Did a bit of gardening and watched the telly in the p.m. Jane and Dot came for tea on 3.30 bus. Ron gone to Chester races.

Got up at 9a.m. Nell went to work this morning. I did the mowing. The wind is still very cold. Nell going to Dot’s on the 4 bus. Ron going to night meeting at Chester races.
