A lot of rain in the night. Flood in the lane. Saw the time and motion man. Did a variety of jobs today. Len off till Thursday. Washed B1 car. 110 to date.

Got up at 9.30am. A very cold wind still. Edged the lawns off. The gang came for tea. Also Allan and Girl stayed for tea. Never went out. Watched the telly.

A showery day with a very cold wind. Did the mowing. Dot and Ron brought Jane while they went to B’head. Back about 5pm. Had a bath. Went to the pub at night.

Another dull, cloudy day. George Little came to put valve on rad in John Guy’s room. Car washing. T.B.H.G. making 109 to date. Not a lot in bins today.

Another dull day with a cold wind. Mopped the office out and did a good bit of mowing. Dot and Jane home today. Time and motion bloke round but didn’t see him.

A day with a cold wind blowing. N gone for a day out with the gang. Burnt some stuff in the wood and did some scything. Got a bit of wood up for the incinerator.

Back at work again this a.m. Still cold wind some some heavy showers. Went for some petrol. ½ gall. Doc gave a talk on pinching*. Cut the creeper by the steps.

Another day of cold winds. Played with Jane in garden for a bit. Did all the mowing over again. Stayed in at night and watched the tellie. No visitors.

Got up at 9.30. A dry morning but strong wind. Quite cold again. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Went for a pint at 9p.m. Three lads drowned on marsh.

More showers again and cold with it. Did all the mowing but very wet. Socky and Len Withers got wed today. Went to the Legion with Bill Ed and the Oak.
