Got up at 9.30am. Quite a nice morning. Doctor came to see me with note. In quite a chatty mood. Stayed about 10 minutes. Leg ok he said.

Got up at 9.15am. Not a bad morning. Dot, Ron and Jane gone to Len’s for the day but Girlie and Alan came for tea and stayed until 8pm.

Rain today. A nasty day. Dot and Jane came. Ron gone to the match at Birmingham. Leg seems to be doing ok. Too wet to go for a walk today.

Got up at 9.30am. A nice sunny day but wind cool. John brought the wages. Met him on the steps. Said he couldn’t come in. Too busy.

Leg seems to be slowly improving. Had no one visiting today so had a nice quiet day on our own. Went for a walk down the road. Nothing to report.

Got up at 9.15am. Dot and Jane came on the 10.20 bus. Went back on the 4.45 so had a nice day with Jane. Ron has gone to watch the match.

Went to see Partridge this morning. He said I should walk without sticks. He wants a Hell of a lot. Didn’t take plaster off. Got home at 1pm.

Got up at 9.15am. leg seems a bit better this morning. Old Jim Biggs came to see me this morning. He will be 90 on 23rd of March. Nell rang hospital again.

A heavy frost last night. Leg seems to improve slowly. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Frank and Dora came in the afternoon. It makes a bit of a change.

Knee about the same today. It seems a slow job but reckon I must not get impatient. No word from Clatter yet about next visit. Len came to see me.
