A dull rather cool day. Went to Selby for a sick note first. Then went to C’Bridge to see Mr Partridge. Went on moped. He said I could start work Monday.

A dull cloudy day. Rather cold. Went to therapy in ambulance. Got home 11.45. Went on moped to W’stones in afternoon. They seemed glad to see me.

Got up at 9.30. A cold day. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Jane very funny doing a bent walk. Went for a ride on the moped.

Got up at 9.30. A cold, raw day. Ron brought Jane and Dot for the day. Ron gone to Bolton to watch Liverpool in cup match. Got back about 7pm. M Steward buried.

(Liverpool won, 0-1, scorer Ian Callaghan. My dad has just told me that he had a car crash on the way home. “Not sure why I wasn’t prosecuted.” Don’t think my Granddad was aware.)

Went to therapy again. Ambulance came at 9am. Didn’t get home until 1 o’clock. Got a bit of practice in on the moped. It’s a nice bike to ride.

Got up 9am. Dot and Jane came 10.30 bus. John and Bryan brought the moped. I am pleased with it. It seems to be to be a good buy.

Got up at 8.15 to go to therapy again. Got back about noon. Nell gone to Dot’s on the 1 bus. Got back at 4.30pm. Nothing important. Bill and Dora came.

Got up at 8.15. Went to Neston on push bike for a sick note. Pretty hard going and a long time to wait. The surgery was full.

Went to therapy again. Ambulance was here at 9am. Got back in fairly good time for once. Cyril came to see me at night. He looks well.

Got up at 9.30am. Dot and family didn’t come today. Had Len and wife for the day. Nell and I had a nice quiet day. No visitors.
