Day off today again. Got up about ten. Started to dig herb border and manure it. Little Ann poorly. Bought an electric kettle between Ron and I on Friday.

Another dull day again. Went to Liverpool with Ted to see welfare people. Going to let me know. Only 1 car. H. making 217 to date.

A dull day all day today. A.P. bought 1 ton of coke. K. Cut back the creeper from round the house and brushed up. Knee not so bad today, thank God.

Day off today. A lovely sunny day. Went to Jane’s. Left about 4.30. Went to see John at night. What a house. Gave me some books and two nice plates for Nell. Bunts at Dot’s.
