Thawing a bit today. But still cold. Got a bit of firewood in. Cleaned Keye’s car and polished it. Shovelled ice off part of the way. Brushed boiler room out.

Not quite so cold today. Some showers of sleet. Road still very bad. Did some painting in the metlab. Cleaned both jets. Charley Jones passed away.

Got up at 8.30. Still very cold with more frost. Went to see Dot and Ron and the baby. Lovely little girl. Went for a jar at night.

Roads very slippery this a.m. But thaw all day. 600 galls of oil came. Car cleaning. H.A.S2.B2 making 18 to date. Cleaned No. 2 burner. Lot to burn.

Thawing today, thank goodness. Came to work through Little Neston. Stayed dinner. Rain and sleet nearly all day. Shovelling snow off paths. Did some painting.
