Day on again today. Nice and mild. Got done at 10am. Dot came to stay the weekend with Jane. Ron at Arsenal. Went to P in the afternoon. Rose bush pruning.

A lovely mild day with sunshine. Sent clothes post to Dot. Car washing. H.D. making 45 to date. Did toilets. Brushed up round the bins. Lot of meal to burn. W.

Not quite so cold today. Strong wind. Some rain. Finished painting floor in outside toilet and cleaned the others. Cleaned the silage lab. Joe took a load. Finished windows.

Frost again this morning. Nice and sunny but turned to rain. Burnt the pig. Cut sleeper up. Started to pain the floors outside the toilet.

Not a bad day but wind still cold. Went for a hen hut down Mill Lane. Took it to Lydiate. Brought the ladders from Shack’s. A big pig came in.

A frost again this a.m. and a thin east wind. Did toilets and then car cleaning. K.Mc.A. making 43 to date. Cleaned both the jets.

Not a bad sort of day but a big rough at times. Ron and Dot bought Jane on the bus. She is lovely. Pruned all my roses. Frost hit them.

Day off today. Mild but rain nearly all day. Not fit to go to P. Made my fence up and then watched T.V. Had a bath and went to the Sheaf at night. Old Bill buried.

Another nice mild day again. Finished painting mens’ toilet. Loaded rubbish on trailer. Swept round bins. Got a sack of newspapers from library. Not a bad day’s work.
