A very cold wind from the North today. Did K’s car. Loaded trailer with the rubbish. Hoovered down the boiler room. Did all the toilets, and lads’ locker room.

A nice morning. Got up at 9.30. Clocks put on one hour last night. Dot and Ron brought Jane. They walked. Jane is getting lovely now. Beginning to baby talk.

Rather colder today. My day on. Got done at 10 a.m. Grand National day. Went to P in the afternoon. Started to dig the border for roses. Got some good muck for it.
