Still cold again. Got up about half nine. Did some more digging. Had no visitors for a good job. Went to the Wheat at about a quarter to nine.

Still cold with heavy showers at times. Went to P both a.m. and p.m. Finishing pruning and burnt it all. Ron’s dad and mum came for tea.

(This wasn’t my dad’s mum. It was his dad’s second wife, Nen. She was very, very far from being Dad’s mum.)

A cold wind blowing and some showers. Did some tidying up in the garden and started digging. Used the fork and gave it a good mucking.

A day of cloud and drizzle but fairly mild. Car washing again. G.B.H. making 69 to date. A lot of stuff in to burn. Did the three toilets again.

A miserable wet day but warmer. Got some firewood from the old battery. Got some acid off Mr Stuffins to shift stains off the toilets. 5 galls fo additive for oil tanks came.

Still a cold wind this morning. A bit warmer in the afternoon and starting to rain. Cleaned both the jets and flue stats. Did the three toilets. Brushed the boiler room out.

The wind still very cold but some sunshine in the afternoon. Car washing. A.Mc. making 66 to date. Cleaned all the toilets. Lots of fowl to burn from Hans Hall.

Wind still bitterly cold. Got up at 9.30 but did no work. Ron came for us in his car, with his neighbour. Very nice. Baby lovely. Did Ron’s roses. Cut prop for Dot.

Day off to day. A very cold north east wind blowing. Too cold to do any gardening at home. Went to P in the afternoon. Finished dressing border. Pruned roses after.
