Not a bad day, but rather cold. Did a bit of tidying up. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Jane is lovely. Mrs Stewart’s little boy baptised. Nothing special on.

Day on today. A lovely warm sunny morning. Got done at 10am. Did the mowing at home. Went to P in the afternoon. Did the mowing. Bert Waterman’s wife died.

A nasty cold wet day. Packed the window job in today. Only did one car. H making 143 to date. Helped Len load trailer. Did all the toilets. N gone to see Dot. Took Anne.*

Quite a nice day again with some sunshine. Finished hoeing in the currant bushes. Did Mrs Henderson’s garden as well. Did all the toilets. Young started cutting his lawn.

A better day today, warm and sunny. Had a calf to burn today. Finished under the currant trees. Carted to weeds away. Did all the toilets.

A dull day but fine. Loaded rubbish on the trailer. Hoeing weed from under the blackcurrant trees. Did all the toilets and awful lot of sacks to burn.

Very heavy rain at first but sunny later. Got wet coming to work. Pulled the creeper from round the windows and burnt it on incinerator. No cars. Did all the T.

Got up about 9.30. Still showery. Dot and Ron brought Jane to stay with us all day while they went into Wales. Lovely. Alan and Girl came in the afternoon. Stayed to tea.

Day off again today. Got up at 9.30. Did the mowing. Went to P in the afternoon. Weeding the drive. Dot and Ron came with baby Jane. Showery weather.

Dull again today and cool wind blowing. Insurance man came to inspect the boilers. Car washing. H.A. making 142 to date. Did the three toilets. Men doing the kitchen floor.
