Day on today and a lot of stuff in to burn. Still a cold wind. Mr Harris brought some rubbish to burn. Went to P in the afternoon. Digging. Got a new barrow.

Still cold and dull. New chief started today. Got a new leather. L. 1 ton of coke came last night. C. Car washing again. S.H.T. making 219 to date. Did all the Ts again. Day on tomorrow.

Some sunshine but still a cold, East wind blowing. About 100 head of poultry to burn from Hanns Hall. Dot and Jane came today. Jane is crawling now. Cleared silage lab out again.

East wind still blowing but not as heavy. Still very cold. Cleaned the jets. Cleared out the silage lab. Got a full truck load out. Did all the Ts. Ordered more coke.

Another dull day with a very cold, East wind blowing. No.1 burner on red first thing. Cleared paper bin by printing machine out. Started to white wash the boiler room.

A dull day but fairly warm. A lot of fowl to burn from Hanns Hall and a lot of other stuff. Nuway man came with two jets. Sent them back. Car cleaning. Mc, G, making 216 to date. Did all the Ts.

Got up at 10 o’clock. Not a very nice morning. Didn’t do any gardening. Did a few little jobs to help Nell. The gang came for tea. Ron and Dot bought Jane’s Xmas toys yesterday.

Day off today. Got up 9.30. Dot and Ron brought Jane to stay all day. Cyril* came. He is a bit under the weather. Never went to P. Stayed with Jane instead.

Another nasty wet day and cold. Brushed twigs and leaves off the drive. Cleared the silage lab out. Also Bernard’s two bins. Put new gasket on No 1 hot filter. Swilled down boiler room.
