Got up at 9.30 am. Not a bad day. Mild. Dug the spuds up and did a bit of digging. Ron, Dot and Jane came for tea. Jane is coming along fine. Saw old Jim in the Wheatsheaf.

Day off today. A nice, mild day with some sunshine. Ron and Jane came. Went to P in the afternoon. Burnt some rubbish. Did some digging.

A dull day again but mild. Car washing. H.A.G.Mc. making 195 to date. New chief round today. Sockie and Cyril Mealor here today. Had to use lights to get home last night.

A bitter, east wind blowing today. Very cold. Michael Halliday died yesterday.* Cleared the silage lab out. 4 bins. Did the jets and all the Ts. New pump working out ok so far.

Clocks back last night. Got up at 9.30. Made a place for spring cabbage and planted them. Frank and Dora came in the afternoon. Went at five. Nell won £3 last night.
