Fairly mild with some showers. Got the car seats today for Jane. Brushed up round the bins and part of the drive. A big lot of stuff in for burning. Cleared the silage lab out.

A dull day and still fairly strong wind. Burnt 4 bags of rubbish for Mrs Harris. Car cleaning again. S.B.K. making 168 to date. No one came to brick the boilers yet.

Got up at 9.30. Still blowing hard and some showers. Did mowing and started to muck the big rose bed. Ron, Dot and Jane came for tea. Margariet Maddocks came with baby.

Day on today. Rather cold and no sun. A strong wind. Dot, Ron and Jane came. Jane got her bracelet. It looks fine. Went to P in the afternoon. Did mowing. Bedding out.

A very cold and strong wind today. Car washing. H.A. making 165 to date. Got Tom Jellicoe some greens for Lydiate dance tonight. Did all the Ts. Brushed round bins. F 10/-.

Heavy rain last night and strong wind blowing. But a nice, mild day. Boiler ok this morning. Cut the creeper from round the house. Brushed round the bins. Did all the Ts.

A dull day again and cool. Cut nettles down in the field. Loaded rubbish on the trailer. Started up no. 2 burner ok but for slight oil leak from lock nut on pump. Did all the Ts.

Rain nearly all day. Very heavy at times. Started to paint in the incinerator but ran out of paint. Did all the Ts again. No sign of the men who are going to brick the boilers yet.

Mist at first but nice and sunny later. Car cleaning again. B.S.Mc. making 163 to date. Burnt a calf and a lot of paper sacks. Did the Ts again. Men not been to boilers yet.

More mist this a.m. Got up at 10 o’clock. Hoed the rose beds. Mucked the small one. Dot, Ron and Jane came in the afternoon. Ron gave me some whiffs.*
