Got up at 10 am. Very strong wind blowing. Finished digging the borders. Put plenty of muck in them. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Jane is a lovely little girl.

Day on today. Got done about 10 a.m. Kennedy shot and killed last night. Started to dig borders at home. Went to P in the afternoon. Working on the borders. Bought a new vest.

A better day today. Wind dropped and no rain. Car washing again. B.Mc. making 211 to date. Swept leaves up from round the bins. Cleared out the silage lab. Did all the Ts.

More rain today and gale force wind. Both burners on red this morning. Both jets blocked. Had both going again by 8.20. A lot of fowl from H Hall to burn. Did all filters.

A frost first hing but nice later. Did both jets this morning. Cleared paper from the bin in the house. Did all the Ts again. Not much to burn today. Lot of Harold’s motor books.

Another wet, miserable day. Cleaned flues no. 1. Hoovered the boiler room. Cut some wood up for the incinerator. Cleared out the silage lab. A lot in. Did all the Ts again. Mrs having hair done.

Blowing a gale today and showers. Car washing. K.S.G. making 209 to date. A big pig to burn today and about 100 fowl. Brushed up round bins. No 1 boiler on red this a.m.

A nasty cold wet day. Got up 10am. Not fit for gardening. Got my dahlias up yesterday. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Jane was talking a lot.

A day off today. A frost first thing but nice later. Ron brought Jane and Dot over. Godfrey Jellicoe got married today. Went to P. Dug the border round big lawn.

More rain again today but nice and mild. Car washing again. H.B.A. making 205 to date. A lot of birds in for burning again. Did all the Ts again. Screws better today, thank God.*
