Another lovely mild, sunny day. Knocked both boilers off. Car washing again. H.G. first. A. making 177 to date. Brushed the bins. Saw Jean and her baby.

A lovely midl day again. Started to dig blackcurrant patch. Put two posts and a strand of wire to keep cows off. Cleared the silage lab out. Burnt some rubbish for Mr Harris.

A nice, mild day with some showers. Swilled round the bins. Brushed leaves up off the drive. Loaded rubbish on trailer. Saw Mr Atfield about a house. Hope I can get one.

A dull, cloudy day but fairly mild. Car washing again. S.B.Mc.K. making 174 to date. Burnt the sacks of rubbish for Mrs Harris. Nell getting some rations this afternoon.

Got up at 9.30 a.m. Finished mucking the rose beds. Tied the raspberry canes up. Ron, Dot and Jane came. All have colds. Jane looks tops in her chair.

Day off today. Got up 9.30. Not fit for gardening. Nell went to see Dot. Went to P in the afternoon. Did mowing and hoed part of the drive. Car light for Ron.

Showery again today. Started No. 1 burner up. Car washing H.A. making 170 to date. Cleared silage lab out again. Wheeled old bricks from boilers again.

Not a bad day but some very heavy showers at times. Men bricking boilers. Cleaned out the silage lab. Went to Tom’s for firewood. Cleaned the Ts.

Not such a bad day. Fair amount of sunshine. Went to Tom Tudor’s for tennis table. Mr Atfield bought his dog to be destroyed. Rake leaves up from by the greenhouse. Did all the Ts again.
