A lovely warm day. Car washing. T.K.B. making 157 to date. Bill Barnes new car. Did the Ts. Mended puncture. 30 years married today. Mrs H. starts hols.

Still dull but a bit warmer. Had another lazy day. Went for a sleep in the p.m. No visitor came. Dot, Ron took Jane for a walk in the afternoon.

Got up at 9.30. Still dull and cool. Had another lazy day. Saw Ossie* and Alf and his son in law in the Wheatsheaf at night. Ossie came home for a while.

Day on today. Very dull and rather cold. Had a lazy day. Did nothing only play with Jane and went to the Sheaf at night. Nothing important.

Showers in the a.m. but a fine afternoon. Car washing H.A.S. in the week making 154 to date. Cleared all the lab bins and had a lot to burn.

Another sultry day. Went with John to Ness for a fridge. Raked up all the grass in the wood and burnt some of it. Did all the Ts.

Very warm and sultry. Finished mowing up the drive. Cut all the nettles in the front field and cut grass in front of the chief’s office. Did all the Ts.

Not a bad day. A strong breeze blowing. Scything in the woods. Shack got a new car. Did all the Ts. Mr Thomas asked me to mow his lawn.

Got up at 9 a.m. Not a bad day. Some showers. Had alzy day. Dot, Ron and Jane went to see Ron’s Uncle in the a.m. and too Nell to see Lou and Les in the p.m.
