A lovely day again. Doctor came to see me again. Off for another week. Hughie from the Odd Fellows came at night. Paid me 30/- sick pay. Very useful.

Yet another lovely warm sunny day. Finished painting the back kitchen. It looks very nice and clean now. Did some more reading and sat in deck chair.

A lovely, warm day again today. Sitting out in deck chair Mrs Harris lent us for most of the day. Did quite a lot of reading again. Very nice.

A lovely morning. Very warm. Got up at 9 a.m. Knees feel a bit easier today. Did a bit of painting in Jane’s room. Did some reading. Got a good book.

A nice day again. Got up at about nine a.m. Did some reading. Dot, Ron and Jane came for tea. Went with Ron and Jane in car to see Cyril*. Busy working on house.

A nice day again. Got up at nine a.m. Did no gardening. Just sat and read. Knees feel better this a.m. Went for a drink to the Wheat at night. Home early.

A nice day again today. Washed H car making 107 to date. Had to go home after break as both knees very bad. Sent for Doc. Told me to poultice them. Put off work.

Not so nice today. Dull with some showers. Good lot to burn again. Both knees bad. Main man came instead of June. Did S car. Got some muck out of boiler. Did all the Ts again.

Another nice, warm day again. Both legs bad again. Took fronts of boilers and started to clean them. Cleared some stuff for Bryan Holme. Left the Ts.
