Cold at first but a beautiful warm sunny day later. Cleared all the empty boxes our of the glass room, Burnt all the grass from round the tennis courts. Did Ts. Stayed in.

A mild cloudy day. Piles easier today. Stayed dinner. Cleaned No.1 boiler. Washed S car, did all the Ts and cleared out the silage lab. Power off for about 15 minutes.

Couldn’t go to work today because of the piles. Sent for the doctor. He gave me ointment. It eases it a bit. Did some reading. Not too bad today.

Had a damn bad night with piles. Very sore and painful. Dot and Jane came for tea. Ron painting. Both have colds. Never went to pub. Piles too painful.

Day off today. A strong wind blowing and cold. Did all the mowing. N went to Dot’s in the afternoon. Watched air display on T.V. and wrestling. Piles started after.

A dry day but cooler. Left one boiler on till after dinner. Car cleaning A, B2, K, making 185 to date. Did all the Ts. Wore splint on leg today. Makes it less painful to walk.

Another day of strong winds and showers. Cleaned both cold oil filters. Bryan from Leahurst brought rods back. Borrowed them yesterday. 1 ton of coke. Did all the Ts. Dot and Jane home.

A day of heavy wind and heavy showers. Some thunder. Started to burn grass round courts. Rained off. Cleaned copper in boiler room. Cleared out the silage lab. Truck load. Did all the Ts.

Not a bad day. Sunshine with some showers. A bit cooler today. Got the boiler going for the first time this season. New paper out today called The Sun. Did the Ts.

Not a very nice day. Some heavy showers. Only did one car, Bond’s, making 182 to date. Got a few toys off Bond for little Jane. Did all the Ts.
