Got up at 9.30. A cool wind blowing. Lou and Les came for tea. Fred Rowe came in the evening. Saw Charlie in the pub. Got a drink off him. Home 10.30.

Day off today. Not a very nice day. Some rain and cool. Ron, Dot, Jane went for a run. Took Ann with them. Had a lazy day. Cut dead roses off and tied climber.

Not a bad day with some sunshine. Car washing. H.A. making 159 to date. Moved 13 sacks of books from the library and put them down the boiler room for the bin men.

Heavy rain all day until about 4 p.m. Did all the Ts a good doing. Put a fresh tire on my bike. Cut some more off the holly hedge. Only the top to do now.

A lovely warm sunny day. Very hot at times. Cutting the holly hedge along the roadside. Did a lot of it. Burnt a lot of chick boxes. Did the Ts. Not outside.

Still dull but a bit warmer. Had another lazy day. Went for a sleep in the p.m. No visitor came. Dot, Ron took Jane for a walk in the afternoon.

Showers in the a.m. but a fine afternoon. Car washing H.A.S. in the week making 154 to date. Cleared all the lab bins and had a lot to burn.
